Few times in life magic truly strikes and leaves you breathless.  The wedding of Meg & Nick Tuszynski was one of those moments.  From start to finish the entire day was absolutely beautiful.  It was my first experience of decorating an outdoor wedding and I think I got pretty darn lucky.

It was the perfect mixture of an elegant and dapper affair.

I've planned, coordinated and hosted numerous events!  Here are some of my favorites and how you can do the same!

My Sisters Wedding

The Tuszynski Wedding

One of the most fun and stressful events I have decorated was my sisters wedding.  She wanted an elegant affair in the middle of winter and trusted me to pull it off.

We opted for a color pallet of blush pink, creams and golds.  It was everything and more!

The reception took place at Harlan Hall in Marshall IL   www.harlanhallmarshall.com

We designed the floral arrangements with the florist and chose three different styles to adorn the tables.  The mixture of heights add levels to the room and can make seeing through a long room much easier.

What's the best decision when it comes to chairs?  For an elegant room you basically have two good options.

1.  Chair Covers - pictured above are satin chair covers with an added ribbon tie. They can take the event from ok to over the top.

2. Rented  Chiavari Chairs - not pictured.  But you can google it.  They are not generally as cost effective as covers.  But it's really up to your sense of style.  You can't go wrong with either one.

One way you can go wrong with chairs is to use a metal folding chair without a cover.

Just Don't.

Christmas Dinner

Christmas is by far my favorite holiday!  I love decorating for the season. Nothing is more classic than traditional red, green and gold.  This was a tablescape I designed for a Christmas Dinner.

*Add a charger plate under the dinner plate for an added pop of elegance.
